We asked for a double bed and were given a twin. It was really hot when we arrived and the hotel room was even hotter. We couldnt get the air con to work and went to reception who informed us that the whole floor was out of order. We were offered a complimentary drink but no option to change the room. We were given a small room with dingy dirty balcony and there was a flower box on the balcony with about 30 ciggarette butts in it. It was not an acceptable level of cleanliness. We went out for the evening and upon returning to the room we found the hotel was even hotter than when we arrived. We had to sleep with the balcony door open which made it impossible to sleep with the excessive street noise. We also got bitten to within an inch of our lives from mosquitos. We had an awful sleepless night. Upon confrontation of the receptionist when we were checking out, we were offered a meager 10 euro discount. Not acceptable. Do not stay here unless the rest of Bari has burnt down.
The personnel was very friendly and helpful.
The walls of the room were so thin that you could hear embarrassing noises of the neighbours.
The rooms were lovely, very nice decor and very clean. I also liked that the breakfast can be brought up to the room.
I came in at midnight with a friend who was helping me with my bag. He was gonna help me take the bag upstairs an the receptionist said he had to give him and id. We were suprised about it and I asked him if my friend has to present his id even if he is going up just for 5 minutes. The receptionist was very upleasant and gave me a very rude reply.
near train station so can visit various places and very nice hotel
double room was quite small compared to the twin room
The breakfast was not bad, but I expected more choice on the tables in a 4 star Hotel E.G. there are no fresh fried things, only the tee is hot. The location is quite good, near the shopping area and the ancient town.
Firstly, we were in the cheaper room, probably the superior is much better but - the air conditioning was only noisy and does not make any coldness. - the room looks like in the 80'S. - the wifi is very slow - the staff speak english but cannot smile - all in all there are hostel rooms in a real 3 star hotel, maybe, next time I would rather choose a hostel for my money, and have breakfast in a cafe.
Room was dirty, shower head broken, bathroom was rusty. Breakfast was terrible
The best part of staying at the hotel was its location.....Its right next to the railway an bus station an also the main shopping area.....and the seafront is only a few minutes walk away....the old city is also walking distance away.
There was no air conditioning despite the fact that it was advertised....the air conditioning is switched on from 15th june...a fact that should have been clearly mentioned...it was really hot an stuffy in the room because the windows could not be opened due to the mosquitos and the windows not having any mosquito netting....
It was located convenient.
There was mold in shower, and it took 10 min to get warm shower. The chair was broken. Unfortunatelly, the front was rude. They kept our passport for all of us and did not explain why. This hotel was the worst I've ever seen and we would never go back there again. We totally disagree with 4 star hotel.
- die Zimmer sind praktisch und mit allen notwendigen Dingen ausgestattet
Hotel Victor is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in; the interior is very old and smells badly. It is also overpriced and does never deserve a 4 star rating.Stay clear of this hotel if you want a enjoyable vacation.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is situated in a suitable area, close to the central train and bus station, as well as shopping streets.
During the evening and the morning I spent at the hotel, there was a problem with the water system. Only hot (even boiling) water was coming out from the tap. Fur sure, it should have been just a sporadic case only.
Staff was nince.
It was'n work the aircon, and the hotel is stinky.
Very central close to all amenities, station and seafront
Close to to the train station, close to main streets, walking distance to old city and the port
I felt like I was the only person staying there...it was really quiet, almost deserted
I was surprise the hotel wanted to charge me more than on the Booked.net website. After I insisted, the hotel charged me the correct price.
